Day one: Pickup, city tour and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
As early as possible, our expert driver-guide will be glad to meet and welcome you for the three days Nyungwe national park safari. But first, he will brief you on whatever thing you will need to know about the trip, before having a city tour, where you will visit the museum and local markets to purchase few items you might be lacking.
Later, Have Lunch before embarking on a 4-5 hours’ smooth drive to Nyungwe national park, home to, Chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, Rwenzori colobus, Dent’s Mona monkeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys. As you arrive at the park in the evening, refresh, have dinner and a nap at your cozy mattress
Day Two: Chimpanzee Trekking and Canopy walk
Start your day with a cup of coffee, after which you will pack your tracking pieces of equipment such as a camera for photography, binoculars for watching distant objects and clad on a complete hiking attire, before driving to Nyungwe national park headquarters for apretrekking briefing by expert park rangers who will take you through some of the acceptable behaviors while with the apes.
The tracking session that lasts for approximately six hours gives you a chance of seeing over 13 unique primate species including chimpanzees, baboons, L’Hoest’s monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and Dent’s Mona monkeys, among others.
After watching the exciting creatures play, feed and hoot, have lunch and proceed for a canopy walk that lasts for approximately 2-3hours, but living you with sweet memories `of standing 6m above the ground, while viewing different primates jump on the treetops. Call off the day with dinner and overnight at your lodge
Day Three: Visit Nyanza palace and Departure
Enjoy the first meal of the day, before packing your entire luggage and checking out of the lodge for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Kigali international airport, but first, an en-route stopover will be at Nyanza palace where you will have an exciting authentic cultural experience and Lunch. Later, proceed with the drive to Kigali international airport or your accommodation.
