This park is considered to harbor a remarkable population of the world’s mountain gorillas, go to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a memorable wildlife safari and explore the pleasant savannah and thrilling boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. Upon your way back to Kampala, visit the Equator to explore the water experiment that proves how water swirls when placed in different hemispheres.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The driver will pick you up from Kampala and embark on a journey to Bwindi impenetrable National in the western region of Uganda. The journey covers a distance of 473 kilometers, approximately 8 hours’ drive from Kampala to the park.
You will arrive at the park in the evening, check into the lodge for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After an early morning breakfast, move to the briefing Banda for briefing about the rules and regulations to be observed during gorilla trekking and thereafter begin your gorilla trekking expedition within this impenetrable gorilla home.
The tracking time and direction of the trail taken while looking for these beautiful primates depends on their day to day movement but tracking time in most cases may take between 2 and 8 hours, including up to 1 hour spent with these unfamiliar creatures as you take pictures, enjoying how they spend their day to day lifetime.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through Ishasha Sector
After an early morning breakfast, embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector.
Along this journey, drive through Ishasha sector to spot some of the prides of tree climbing lions as you proceed to the lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a journey to Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive. During this game drive, you will spot various animals such as buffalos, elephants, warthogs, lions, antelopes, leopards and so many other animal species. Return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch.
After lunch, drive to Mweya peninsula for an afternoon boat cruise which takes up to 2 hours. Kazinga channel is the heavily concentrated habitat of hippos in the whole world and over 60 bird species can be spotted on Kazinga channel. You will also have an opportunity to spot various animals like hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos and much more. Go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer back to Kampala Via equator
Following your morning breakfast, set off for a journey back to Kampala, have a stopover at the equator to explore the main world’s latitude and buy some souvenirs and African handcrafts, then after proceed with the journey to Kampala for your departure.
