2 days Rwanda gorillas and Mt. Bisoke safari is a safari trip that offers you a chance to enjoy remarkable hiking experience as you trek to the most popular mountain among the 5 volcanoes within the boundaries of Rwanda.
It is also an ideal encounter for gorilla trekkers and nature lovers since you will have chances to trek gorillas, see wild animals and various bird species as you hike through Volcanoes National Park.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Hike Mount Bisoke.
The driver will pick you up early in the morning at exactly 5:00 am from Kigali Airport and proceed to Volcanoes National Park where hiking Mt. Bisoke starts from.
With packed lunch, you will join the briefing group about rules and regulations to observe during the hiking of Mountain Bisoke. The hiking lasts for 4 hours and 2 hours on descent. After, proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Departure.
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey with your packed lunch to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts during the trekking of mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, you will be grouped into groups of eight individuals and each allocated to a respective gorilla group that you are going to visit.
The hiking starts at exactly 8:00am and it takes 2-8 hours depending on the movements and location of the gorilla family assigned. Upon reaching the allocated gorilla family, you will be required to spend 1 hour with these beautiful primates and after descend back to starting point and embark on the transfer to Kigali Airport.
