Detailed safari

Day 1: Nairobi city tour and drive to Lake Nakuru national park

As you land at Nairobi international airport, our driver-guide will be glad to meet and brief you about the 8-days safari in Kenya and Tanzania as you enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Thereafter, you will tour Nairobi city, visiting the local markets to purchase a few of the missing trip items as well as exchange money to local currency for easy transactions.

After that, go for lunch and then head to the Kenyan museum to learn about the countries cultural and historical treasures before embarking on a 3-4 hours’ drive to Lake Nakuru national park, an asylum for flamingoes and several mammals.

End the day at your lodge with dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Exploring Lake Nakuru and Transfer to Maasai Mara national park

You will start this day with a cup of coffee, followed by a 4-5 hours’ amazing game drive, where you will watch the flamingoes, plus several birds’ play, feed and mount up with wings by the lake shores, and several mammals such as the Antelopes, Buffaloes elephants, and warthogs grazing at the open savanna grassland.

After the experience, you will return to the lodge for refreshment and lunch, followed by a 3-4 hour fascinating drive to Maasai Mara game reserve, Kenya’s top safari destination, and home to all Africa’s big5, co-existing with several mammals, birds, and unique tree species. You will have an enroute stopover for lunch and photography at the beautiful Great Rift Valley, arriving at your lodge in the evening for dinner and a nap.

Day 3: Full Day Game Drive

After enjoying the first meal of the day, you will pick your packed lunch, camera, umbrella, binocular and join your driver-guide on a full day Game viewing adventure at the vast savannah grassland of Maasai Mara, adored with fascinating sceneries, and rare tree species that offer shelter to the mammals such as the lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, hyenas, antelopes, warthogs and so on, and birds such as the flamingoes, ostrich, Eagles and many more. Note that spotting the lions, leopards, cheetah and among others calls for luck.

You will have a lunch break, before proceeding to Mara River, a center of the action during the annual wildebeest migration that takes place every June to September as the creatures cross from Serengeti national park to Maasai Mara, in search for green pasture and water.

You will spot the crocodiles and Hippos sailing on the water. Thereafter, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight as you wait for the next day’s activities

Day 4: Depart Maasai Mara National Park for Serengeti national park

You will welcome this day with an energy-giving cup of coffee and then check the lodge for a transfer to Serengeti national park in Tanzania, following the southern part Maasai Mara. You will have Lunch after crossing the scenic Isebania Border, making clearance, and attaining new Tanzanian documents.

Thereafter, proceed with the smooth drive to the park, spotting the evergreen plantations and amazing undulating Hills. As you approach your lodge at the park, expect to spot a few mammals retiring from the lodge days’ activities. Enjoy a mouth-watering Meal and a peaceful night at the lodge.

Day 5: Morning game drive and after cultural encounter

After breakfast, you will head out for a rewarding 4-5 hours’ game drive to spot different bird species, preys and predators such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeest, leopard, and cheetahs among others, hunting, resting or grazing in the vast savannah grassland, dotted with a good selection of rare tree species.

You are free to take as many photos and possible, make any inquiry before returning to the Lodge for a mouth-watering lunch, followed by an exciting cultural experience with the Maasai herdsmen who will take you through thrilling traditional performances, exciting stories and showcasing some of their tools.

Make it appoint that you carry some money to buy the Maasai ware or local souvenirs before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Depart Serengeti national and afternoon hike to the Ngorongoro crater rim

After enjoying a delicious cup of coffee early in the morning, you will check out of the lodge and embark on a 4-5 hours’ drive to Ngorongoro crater, one of the world’s seven wonders. Don’t keep your camera because you will be viewing some games and amazing landscapes as you Exit the Park.

 Upon arriving at Ngorongoro crater, enjoy a mouth-watering lunch meal, followed by a trek to the top of the crater rim, the world’s largest land crater, that gives you a golden opportunity of watching the wonder at a close range, rare bird species and several mammals such as the lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, and elephants among others. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 7: Full Day game Drive and relaxation

With a six-hour allowance for visitors to adventure the world’s largest crater, you will have a heavy cup of coffee, followed by a 4-6 hours’ game drive across the fascinating savanna plains of Ngorongoro crater rim national park.

You will have the chance of spotting all sorts’ mammals in the wild, including the lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, cheetahs, antelopes, wildebeest, and rhinos among others. Several birds, unique tree species are present in this place, and not forgetting the amazing photographic spots.

You will have a picnic lunch, and then pick up from where you stopped before returning to the lodge for a relaxed evening, dinner and a nap

Day 8: Depart Ngorongoro crater to Kilimanjaro international airport and depart

You will welcome this day with a delicious cup of coffee followed by a two-hour optional nature walk before checking out of the lodge for a drive to the airport or the agreed point of departure. The driver-guide will make an Enroute stopover where he deems interesting.
