This 15 days East African safari presents to you a lifetime experience, as you come to a new revelation of what nature holds for mankind. You will pay a visit to your cousins – the Chimpanzees, and enjoy a canopy walk in Nyungwe forest national park, game viewing and boat cruise at Queen Elizabeth, Serengeti, Lake Mburo, and Masai Mara national parks, amazing cultural encounter with the Batwa and Masai People, hiking the largest crater in the world, Ngorongoro crater rim, and coming face to face with the endangered Mountain gorillas at Bwindi impenetrable national park. The trip starts at Kigali airport with a city tour, proceeds to Uganda, Kenya, and then ends in Tanzania where you will get your flight back home.

Detailed tour

Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Nyungwe national park

On landing at Kigali international airport, the driver guide assigned to handle your 15 days safari around East Africa will happily welcome you to the land of thousand Hills, where the 15day story begins. He will brief you about the entire trip as you sip a glass of Juice, he will be explaining to you about each day as included in the itinerary, as well as answering some of the questions you have.

Thereafter, start with a city tour where you will tour the smartest city in East Africa, visiting the local markets to buy souvenirs and some of the items deemed essential for safari. You will then have lunch, before visiting the genocide memorial museum and proceed to Nyungwe national park, going past the Lush countryside, beautiful sceneries, arriving in the evening for refreshment, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2: Chimp trekking and canopy walk

After enjoying a very hefty cup of coffee, the driver guide will drive you to the park’s headquarters where you will join other members who have assembled for apretrekking Briefing and document verification at 8:00 am by knowledgeable park rangers.

After the briefing, they will accompany you to the Jungle has offered refuge to offer 13unique primate species including Chimpanzees, Baboons, Columbus monkeys, grey checked monkeys and money more, rare tree and Bird species.

The tracking session can last for up to four hours depending on how far these cuisines have moved as well as your trekking speed, but a sigh of relief comes when you meet them and the guide has allowed you to study, take photos and many more for one Hour.

You will then have Lunch at the Pack after meeting your cousins, followed by an amazing forest canopy walk experience where you get the chance of watching birds, monkeys, baboons, and many more, singing and jumping on the treetops. You also have the opportunity of watching a good portion of the park and its neighborhood before returning for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Nation Park

After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a 7-8 hours’ drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park, traversing the lush forest, unspoiled vegetation and watching the distant rolling hills of Rwanda.

The journey crosses Rwanda-Uganda scenic border while enjoying the eye-catching views of the Kigezi highlands, evergreen vegetation and plantations. You may have a lunch stop at Lake Bunyonyi, second Switzerland in Africa surrounded by 27 significant islands before proceeding to your lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and Batwa pygmies

You will arise from slumber and then go straight away for breakfast after packing all the necessary items you need during the Gorilla Tracking. After, drive for an assembly at the sectors headquarters that begins at 8:00 am, with the rangers telling you the dos and don’ts while tracking as well as verifying your documents.

The park rangers will assign you to a particular family of your choice then escort you to the Jungle for the roughly 1-6 hours’ tracking exercise, traversing the hills and slopes, while enjoying the sweet melodies of the birds, and encountering some primates and unique tree species.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

On this day, you will start with breakfast, before checking out of the lodge for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will have dinner and overnight as you wait for the next day’s game drive and boat cruise in the most visited destination in Uganda.

Day 6: Game Viewing and Boat cruise

After breakfast, you will join your tour guide to the open savanna grassland in quest for both small and big cats roaming in search of food and water. The fact that no one makes appointments with these wildlife residents, luck comes into play, like search, you can have a chance of watching both the prey and predators in action ‘in the 3-4hour experience, such as buffalo, giant forest hog, Uganda Kobs, lions, waterbuck, elephants and many more.

After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch before heading out to Kazinga channel for a rewarding 2 hours’ boat cruise which gives you an opportunity of spotting a school of Hippos, crocodiles, birds, and mammals by the shores. You will sup up the day with dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 7: Depart for Lake Mburo National park & Boat cruise

On this day after sipping a cup of coffee, you will check out and hit the road for a 3-4 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo national park, while listening to stories from your driver guide who will be telling you more about the western part of Uganda, and making brief breaks to explain some of the attractions you will come across, such as the Ankole cows grazing.

Upon arriving at your lodge, go for lunch before heading to the lake for a two-hour boat ride that exposes to you the crocodiles and hippos plus several birdlife and mammals.  You will then call off this dinner with dinner and a nap

Day 8: Morning Game drive and fly to Nairobi through Entebbe airport

Wake up to a delicious cup of coffee, then join your guide to the wild to spot different mammals feeding in the open grassland, such as the impalas, giraffes, several antelope species, elands, and many more, plus rare Bird and plat species. This is a very quiet place adorned with beauty.

You will then say farewell to Uganda as you head to Entebbe international airport to get a plain that will transfer you to Nairobi Kenya where you will link up with our company representative who will drive you to the Hotel for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Drive to Maasai Mara national park and night game drive

Our driver-guide will meet you at your hotel and brief you about the safari in Kenya as you enjoy you a cup of coffee, thereafter, he will embark on the 4-6 hours’ drive to Maasai Mara national park, Kenya’s famous tourist destination and a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration that takes place every June to September.

You will make an Enroute stopover at the Great Rift Valley overlooking Mount Longonot, for photography and scenic viewing, and then another stopover at Narok town for late lunch. Continue with the drive arriving in the evening for a two-hour game drive before dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Full day Drive

On this day, you will have a full day to yourself, visiting the different corners of Masai Mara national park in the quest for the different mammals, and bird species after enjoying a delicious cup of coffee at the lodge.

Some of the mammals you should look out for include lions, cheetahs, leopards, Buffaloes, elephants, Antelopes, gazelles, and giraffes among others, plus several bird species such as well as the ostrich and flamingoes among others.

You will have a lunch break, followed by an afternoon visit to the Mara River, a spot of action during the annual wildebeest migration. Here is where you will spot the crocodiles and Hippos relax at their home

Day 11: Depart Maasai Mara N/P for Serengeti N/Park – Tanzania

Very early in the morning, you will have breakfast and checkout of the lodge for a 5-6 hours’ drive to Serengeti N/Park in northern Tanzania. Have an enroute lunch and proceed for another 1-2 hours’ drive to your lodge in the park, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 12: Game drive in Serengeti national park.

After breakfast, you will have an amazing tour around Serengeti’s central area, visiting the water pool to see large concentrations of mammals and birds as they sun bathe. and in the afternoon proceed to the northern sector of Serengeti national park, to watch the green vegetation, and other jaw-dropping sceneries. You will return in the evening for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 13: Half-day Game Drive and Afternoon cultural experience

Welcome this day with a heavy cup of coffee then drive to the wilderness with your camera, binoculars, water, many more, for a 3-5 hours’ search of the night hunter’s returning from duty and the day hunters head out for duty. Some of the treasures to look out for this day include wildebeests, lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, and leopards among others.

You will have a lunch break before proceeding for a wonderful experience with the Masai people until sunset when you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Serengeti national park is one of the most famous national parks in Africa and Tanzania in particular; it is a host to the annual wildebeest migration that takes place every June to July as the Wildebeests escorted by millions of zebras, head to Masai Mara in search for water and green pasture.

Day 14: Depart Serengeti national park for an afternoon game drive at Ngorongoro crater

Brighten your day with a cup of coffee, then check out of the lodge for a 3-4 hours’ drive to Ngorongoro Crater rim, home to all the African big five, primates, flamingoes, and the world’s largest crater.

Upon your arrival, check in to your lodge for lunch, then after, go for a rewarding 3-4 hours’ afternoon game drive that gives you a chance of spotting several birds such as the flamingoes and mammals such as the Lions, leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes and Rhinos among others. Follow this unforgettable experience with dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Hiking to top of the crater and Departure

Early in the morning, you have breakfast, then head for the unforgettable hike to the summit of the largest crater on earth, the Ngorongoro crater, opening your heart to the beauty of nature as you watch the surrounding places, the big five hideouts and the lush forest harboring several primates and birds such as the flamingoes.

After enjoying 3-4 hours’ experience here, you will return to the lodge, checkout and drive to Kilimanjaro international airport for your flight back.
