4 days Kibale and Queen Elizabeth National Park tour is a combined safari that will take you to one of the major national parks in Uganda; including Kibale National Park where you will enjoy chimp trekking and Bigodi wetland visit and later on proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park – the second largest Savannah Park in Uganda.
Enjoy game drive in Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National park and where you will have an opportunity to spot unique animals including the big 4 like lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes. Enjoy a launch cruise on Kazinga Channel for wildlife and bird watching.
Detailed Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale National Park, Enroute at Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru.
You will be picked up by a tour guide then embark on 5-hour journey to the western region of Uganda, the journey to Kibale National Park covers a distance of 308 kilometers from Kampala – the capital city of Uganda via Fort portal.
On your way to the park, you will have enroute visit at Amabeere Ga Nyinamwiru for a cultural tour. Then proceed with the journey to Kibale Forest, reach in the evening, check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Visit.
You will wake up very early in the morning, have your breakfast and the tour guide will drive you to the park headquarters for a short briefing about the rules followed during chimp tracking.
After, the tour guide of Uganda Wildlife Authority will walk you through down the forest to start tracking the chimps, during this activity you have a chance of spotting other primates like; the Red-tailed colobus, Red-tailed monkeys and blue-tailed monkeys swinging on the branches of trees in the forest. Upon reaching the chimps, you will spend one hour with them taking pictures, studying their day to day life time and so on.
After chimp trekking activity, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation, then in the evening go for an evening nature walk to Bigodi wetland sanctuary which will take you through the natural environment of this community and enjoy small animals like Bush pigs, potters, mongooses and so many others.
After, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Afternoon Launch Cruise.
Enjoy your breakfast in the morning before setting off for a journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park past Rwenzori Mountains. The distance is 103 kilometers from Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately 2-hour drive via Fort portal – Mpondwe Road. Reach the park, check into the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward to Lake George. During the boat cruise, you will have an opportunity to spot out various animals like; the hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants and numerous bird species which include pink backed pelicans, yellow billed stork, spoon bill, African Fish eagle and so many others. Then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Transfer Back to Kampala Via Equator.
Wake up early in the morning, have your morning breakfast and proceed on a sunrise game drive to spot various nocturnal before they go back to their hideouts. During this activity, you will see animals like warthogs, water bucks, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, and much more.
Return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer back to Kampala, have a stopover at the equator for stretch up and take pictures for memories & buy some hand-made crafts, then proceed with your journey to Kampala for your departure.
