Day 1: Pickup, Reptile Village and Transfer to your accommodation
Our company representative will be glad to meet you at Entebbe international airport, and brief you about the 21 days’ experience in Uganda (the pearl of Africa). He will explain the different activities to be done, in the destinations to be visited, as well as responding to your inquiries.
Thereafter, hit the road to Kampala city, with an enroute one-hour stopover at the reptile village where you will spot different reptiles such as snakes, chameleons, and tortoise, among others that have been rescued from the village. Thereafter, continue with your journey to your Hotel, arriving in the evening, and checking in for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Kampala city tour
On this day, you will have breakfast early in the morning at your hotel, followed by a tour around Kampala city, one of the oldest cities in East Africa. In the early hours of the day, you will visit the Museum, craft village and the independence monument.
Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a drive to Kabaka’s palace where you will see the Kabaka’s palace and listen to the Buganda history and contribution to the country’s independence. You will interact with the guides in the different subjects of interest, before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Depart Kampala city for River Nile
On this day, embark on a 2-3 hours’ scenic drive to Jinja, home to River Nile (the longest river on earth) after breakfast. You will glance at the Jaw-dropping landscape, the great views of Mabira forest – one of the oldest forests in the country, and traders selling roasted banana locally known as Gonjja by the roadside.
The magically suspended Jinja Bridge will welcome you to the destination, as you head to the river Nile. On arrival, you will have Lunch at the Beautiful gardens of River Nile, followed by a one-hour boat ride to the source of the Nile, and photography. Thereafter, you will proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 4: Depart River Nile for Sipi Falls
You will check out of the lodge after breakfast and embark on a 4-5 hours’ drive to Sipi falls in Kapchorwa district located in the Eastern part of Uganda, in Mountain Elgon national park. The drive traverses some fascinating rolling hills, plantations, and the great town of Mbale, where you will have lunch.
After lunch, you will proceed to your lodge, arriving in the afternoon for a relaxed evening, with an optional community walk before returning for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 5: Hiking to the Sipi falls and coffee plantation tours
Welcome the day with a cup of coffee, followed by a briefing by the park rangers who will tell you about the three mighty waterfalls of Sipi falls. Thereafter, you will hike to the Sipi falls where you will spend the first hours of the day having fun at the falls, taking photos, and taking a bath if you don’t mind.
Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for lunch, followed by a community tour, where the locals will take you to their coffee plantations, show you how to grow and process coffee, as well as taste it. When everything is over, hike back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Pian–Upe game reserve. Enroute tour at Nyero rock paintings
After breakfast at the lodge, you will check out with your entire luggage and transfer to the Pian-Upe Game reserve, home to several wildlife species, and the second-largest game reserve in the country.
The drive takes roughly 5-6 hours, with an enroute stopover at Nyero rock painting in Kumi district were you get amazed by the ancient art of paintings with words that have never been read by anyone, continue with the drive to Pian-Upe game reserve, few kilometers from Kidepo National Park, with views of some rolling hills along the way, dotted with grass-thatched houses and green plantations. Lunch will be enroute before arriving at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Depart for Kidepo national park. Evening game drive
On this day, you will have a relaxed breakfast in the morning, and an optional nature walks, before checking out of the lodge for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Kidepo national park, located in the northern direction of the reserve, the border with S. Sudan and Kenya.
The drive will be on both tarmac and Marram road, as you watch the beautiful sceneries, hills, plantations, and the Karamong people relaxing in their grass thatched houses or grazing their cattle.
You will arrive at the park in the afternoon, and then have lunch and refreshment before an amazing night game drive that ends at 10:30 pm local time, but with a very good opportunity of watching the night, nocturnal creatures and hunters do what they know best.
On a good day, you will spot the lions, leopards, Hyenas, and other small mammals hunting or feasting. After the game drive, return to your lodge for a nap and enjoying your dinner.
Day 8: Morning game drive and afternoon cultural encounter
After enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, drive to the Narus valley for a 3-4 hours’ game drive that gives you a chance of taking beautiful photos in the beautiful savanna landscape while spotting both the predators and prey roam in the open savanna grassland in search for what to eat and drink.
With luck on your side, you will spot the cats such as the lions and leopards, beside the common mammals such as the Elephants, antelopes, warthogs, giraffes, zebras and Buffaloes among others. You will also have the opportunity of identifying unique tree species such as the Borasa, and acacia, as well as the rare bird species such as the ostrich found in this place.
After the game drive, you will drive back to the lodge for refreshment followed by lunch before heading for an afternoon cultural encounter with the local Karamojong people, living outside the park, who will dance, sing and tell you wonderful stories.
We encourage you to support them in any way possible such as buying their souvenirs, as well as donating some money to them. After the cultural encounter, return to the lodge and refresh before having a super dinner and a wonderful overnight.
Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge for an 8-9 hours’ drive to Murchison falls national park, following amazing sceneries of Rolling hills and green plantations. Lunch will be in Gulu city, with an optional visit to fort Patiko before proceeding to your lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 10: Early morning game drive and afternoon launch Cruise
Early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with a warm cup of coffee, followed by 3-4 hours’ rewarding game drive experience with chances of spotting several mammals, and birds in action; with numerous mammals namely; the elephants, Antelopes, Buffaloes, Zebras, Giraffes, and warthogs, you stand a chance of spotting lions and leopard resting or hunting across the vast savanna grassland.
You will have a Bush breakfast, before driving back to the lodge for lunch, followed by a rewarding 2-3hour boat cruise to the bottom of the most powerful waterfalls in the world, Murchison falls, that gives you the chance of watching a large school of hippos and Nile crocodiles, as well as different bird species and mammals by the river bank among others. After the boat cruise, you will return for a delicious dinner meal and peaceful sleep at your lodge.
Day 11: Driving to top of the falls and transfer to Kibale forest national park
On this day, you will have breakfast at your lodge before checking out and using a ferry to cross to the southern sector in case you are in the northern sector, where you will have a 1-2 hours’ drive to the top of Murchison falls.
The hike opens your eyes to the amazing views of the thundering waters, rainbow, and an opportunity of taking as many photos as possible, before embarking on a 7-8 hours’ drive to Kibale national park (the primate world). Lunch will be served en-route while dinner and overnight will be at your lodge in or outside the park.
Day 12: Chimpanzee tracking and Visiting Bigodi swamp
Start your day with breakfast before heading to the park’s headquarters for chimpanzee pre trekking briefing by the park stewards who will tell you how to behave while with the chimpanzees. Thereafter, they will accompany you to the Jungle hosting over 13 primate species for a 1-6 hours’ search of the chimpanzees plus other primates such as the Columbus, vervet monkeys, baboons, grey checked monkeys and red-tailed monkeys among others.
When you meet these creatures, the ranger will reward you with one hour of taking photos and watching these creatures’ unique behaviors.
When the one hour is done, you will drive back to the lodge for lunch, followed by a drive to Bigodi swamp where you will enjoy watching some of the primates, birds, and many more treasures in this place, including the natives of the place, farming and fishing. Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Day 13: Semuliki National park and afternoon nature walk
After breakfast, join your driver guide to start a 3-4 hours’ drive to Semliki national park, while enjoying amazing views of green vegetation, and the undulating hills. Upon arriving at your lodge, you will enjoy a mouth-watering meal for lunch, after which you will proceed for a rewarding walk to the sempaya Hot springs, where you will wonder at the amazing female hot springs. You will then end the day with dinner and overnight the lodge.
Day 14: Have a morning game drive and depart for Queen Elizabeth National park
When breakfast is done, you will have a 3-4hour rewarding game drive experience where you have the chance of spotting some of the mammals you love most, such as the elephants, Antelopes, giraffes, and Buffalos among others.
After that, you will check out of your lodge for a drive to Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s most visited national park, with a wide range of biodiversity. The drive will last for approximately 5hours, with lunch enroute and a nice view of the backdrop of the snowcapped mountain Rwenzori, green plantations and the natives of the place farming and trading.
When you arrive at your accommodation, check-in and spend the entire evening resting at the beautiful gardens, followed by dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Enjoy a Morning game drive and afternoon Boat cruise
Breakfast first, followed by a 4-5 hours’ game viewing experience at the large savannah grassland as you look out for different mammals such as the lions, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffalos, waterbuck, zebra, giraffes and many more, roam while feeding.
Afterword, you will have a picnic lunch, before heading to Kazinga channel for a rewarding 2-3 hour boat cruise that gives you an opportunity to spotting the school of Hippos, and the crocodiles, plus some visitor birds and mammals quenching their thirst by the lake shores. You will drive back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight after the Boat cruise
Day 16: Queen Elizabeth National Park for Bwindi Impenetrable forest via Ishasha sector
After finishing the last dot of tea in your cup, check out of the lodge for a 3-4 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park, Home to the endangered mount Gorillas. You will have an en-route stopover at the Ishasha sector in quest for the tree-climbing lions, either upon the tree branches or roaming around the savanna woodland.
Take photos and proceed for lunch at the ishasha sector. As soon as lunch is done, proceed to the Buhoma sector where dinner and overnight will be at your lodge.
Day 17: Gorilla trekking and Batwa encounter
At sunrise, you will enjoy a heavy cup of coffee, followed by a 1-6 hours’ mountain gorilla trekking in the thick Jungle of Bwindi. The tracking is somehow strenuous, but with the support of the park ranger and other helpers, you will see it through.
Expect to spot a few primates, birds, and unique tree species while in the quest for the gentle apes, wherever they are relaxing, feeding, or playing. When you finally meet these gentle apes, the park ranger will give you an allowance of one hour to closely watch the unique behaviors of these creatures, while following the guidelines that you have been told by the park rangers, during the briefing session, at the sectors headquarters early in the morning.
Return to the lodge for some refreshment and Lunch after the trekking and before visiting the Batwa Pygmies, who were originally gatherers and wanderers. They will take you through exciting traditional performances such as local dances and songs, tell you stories and their tools. Thereafter, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 18: Community walks and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi from Bwindi Impenetrable national park
Have a relaxed tasty Breakfast, followed by a two hour guided community walk, where you will visit the local natives and Buhoma hospital that was built out of the money generated by the tourists through donations and park entrance fees.
Return, and check out of the lodge for a 2-3 hours’ drive to Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by 27 islands. As soon as you arrive, enjoy a delicious Lunch meal, followed by a birding experience whereby an expert birder will guide you in identifying the different bird species and their unique attributes. There are over 200unique bird species that have been recorded around Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight follow the activities.
Day 19: Explore Lake Bunyonyi
On this day, watch the sunrise with a delicious breakfast on your table, followed by a 4-5 hours’ exploration of the Lake while on a canoe boat. The tour guide will show and tell you how significant each island is before returning to the lodge for a mouth-watering lunch meal.
You will spend the evening either swimming or just relaxing by the lake shores while enjoying the cool breeze and watching the different bird species soar above the sky. The sunset will be your point of focus before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 20: Depart Lake Bunyonyi for Lake Mburo N/park
After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge for a 4-5 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo National park for an interesting game drive experience. You will have an en-route stopover at the Equator to watch the amazing magical demonstration and lunch, before summing up the day at your lodge, at Lake Mburo.
Day 21: Game viewing and departure
After Breakfast, you will join your driver-guide for a 3-4 hours’ morning game drive with hopes of spotting the Impalas, Oribis, Buffalos, and Elephants, among others grazing in the open savanna grassland. Also, birds and different plant species are found in the same destination. Thereafter, return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will check out of the lodge for a 3-4 hours’ drive to Entebbe international airport for your flight to the next destination.
