On the 2 days Sipi falls, set on the view of the three amazing water falls that are found on the foothills of Mountain Elgon in eastern region of Uganda. Sipi falls is a series of three water falls that descend from the edges of Mt Elgon with a water fall of 85cm, 70cm and 100cm respectively.
Also on this tour, a visit to the Bagisu Arabica coffee farms will be made. The tour will start off from Kampala to Kapchorwa district where the falls are found through Jinja, Iganga – Mbale highway.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Kapchorwa, hike to the Sipi falls.
Have a warm breakfast, pick up for your hotel at 6:00am and have a briefing about the 2 days Sipi tour by our representative from the company. Embark on a 6 to 7 hour drive to kapchorwa where the three series waterfalls are found. On arrival, have lunch and start the hike to the Sipi falls.
This hike takes about 4 hours in order to fully experience the falls. The hike is descending as it lines on the edges of Mt. Elgon experiencing the Sipi falls from the highest fall that line 85cm, 70cm and 100 cm. This hike also rewards a spectacular view of the Karamoja plains, Lake Kyoga and Mt. Elgon. After this activity head to the lodge for relaxation as you wait for dinner and an overnight.
Day 2: Coffee tour and transfer back to the Kampala.
After a well-rested night, wake up for a delicious breakfast with the view of Sipi falls. After head for a 2-hour tour of the Bagisu Arabica coffee farms. This coffee grows on the slopes of Mt. Elgon.
You will be taken through the farming, processing and roasting of the dark coffee beans that are only indigenous to the Bagisu land. Later check out of the lodge, embark on the journey back to Kampala for departure to your next destination.
