Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Kampala city tour.
After breakfast at your place of accommodation, you will be picked up by the company’s representative who will be your guide for the entire day through the busy streets of Kampala.
We shall begin our journey from city square heading to down town where most businesses are found. This area accommodates a lot of people with different business ventures ranging from vendors, salons and busy arcades.
Our first stop over will be “Nakasero market” a home to many fresh organic fruits, vegetables and other food stuff; you can take pictures and interact with the local market vendors as well as having a taste of the fresh juicy fruits.
We shall pass via the “old taxi park “a place that accommodates many matatus (taxis) that people use to access different suburbs of the city; have an aerial view of this area which is truly a must see.
Continue to old Kampala hill where we shall visit Gaddafi mosque – the national mosque of the country, have a tour of the old beautiful mosque, see its interior designs, norms and the beauty.
Have lunch after a tiresome city walk; proceed to Bahai temple for another religious tour as you are exposed to the history and spiritual norms of this faith.
Proceed to the African craft village in the upper side of the town where many African commodities are crafted and made with original African raw materials, a number of souvenirs can be got from this beautiful village as you rest for your next journey to the Uganda museum, home to Uganda’s history.
After this amazing tour we shall end from Ndere center for more cultural exhibition through the different cultural dances performed by energetic dance troops presenting each culture in Uganda.
